Terms of service

Last updated: 20 August 2026

These Terms & Conditions apply when you browse or place an order through www.maeveandwren.com. Please read them before ordering.

1. About Maeve & Wren

Maeve & Wren is operated by Matěj Šandera, a sole trader registered in the Czech Republic.

Company registration number (IČO): 06291481
Registered business address: Mříč 57, 382 03 Křemže, Czech Republic
Email: support@maeveandwren.com

In these Terms, “Maeve & Wren”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to this operator. “You” means the customer.

2. Consumer rights

These Terms apply to consumer purchases of physical goods. Nothing in them limits rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable Irish, Czech or European Union consumer law.

3. Products and prices

We aim to describe and display products accurately. Colours may vary with screen settings and lighting, and minor reasonable measurement variations may occur.

Prices are displayed in euro unless stated otherwise. The total price and any delivery charge or tax collected by us are shown before you place an order. Standard delivery in the Republic of Ireland is currently free.

Promotions may have additional conditions displayed with the offer. Discounted goods retain the same statutory consumer rights.

4. Orders and contract formation

You can review and correct your basket and checkout details before ordering. By submitting an order, you offer to buy the goods shown at the stated total price. The sales contract is formed when we send your order confirmation.

If an item is unavailable, payment is not authorised, delivery is not possible, information contains an obvious material error or we reasonably suspect fraud, we may cancel the affected order and will promptly refund any amount taken.

5. Payment

Available payment methods are displayed at checkout. Payments are processed by secure third-party payment providers. We do not directly store complete payment-card details.

6. Delivery

Delivery areas, costs, tracking and delivery problems are explained in our Shipping Policy, which forms part of these Terms. We remain responsible for goods until you, or a person nominated by you, takes physical possession of them, unless you independently arranged a carrier that we did not offer.

7. Cancellation, returns and faulty goods

Your 14-day change-of-mind right and your rights where goods are faulty, damaged, incorrect or not as described are explained in our Returns & Refunds Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

8. Your responsibilities

You must provide accurate contact, billing and delivery information. You must not use the website unlawfully, interfere with its security or operation, introduce malicious code or misuse its content.

9. Intellectual property

The website design, branding, text, graphics and other content are owned by or licensed to Maeve & Wren unless stated otherwise. You may use the website for personal, non-commercial shopping. You may not reproduce or commercially exploit its content without permission except where permitted by law.

10. Liability

We do not exclude or limit liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or failure to respect mandatory consumer rights.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was made or for business losses arising from a consumer purchase.

11. Events outside reasonable control

We are not responsible for delay caused by events genuinely outside our reasonable control, but we will take reasonable steps to minimise the effect, keep you informed and respect any cancellation or refund rights that apply.

12. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how personal data is collected and used.

13. Governing law and complaints

These Terms and contracts made through the store are governed by Czech law. If you are habitually resident in Ireland or another European Union country, this choice does not deprive you of mandatory consumer protections provided by the law that would apply without this choice.

Please email support@maeveandwren.com first so that we can try to resolve a complaint directly.

The Czech Trade Inspection Authority (Česká obchodní inspekce) is the competent alternative dispute resolution body for relevant consumer disputes. Information and the online procedure are available at coi.gov.cz.

14. Changes and contact

We may update these Terms for future orders. The Terms in effect when your order is accepted apply to that order unless a change is required by law or you expressly agree otherwise.

Questions can be sent to support@maeveandwren.com or to the business address in section 1.
